Pellaea falcata
Pteridaceae
Common
This common ground fern has a typical fishbone appearance; each frond segment or leaf is sickle-shaped. New fronds are bright green, turning dark green with age. The fertile fronds, which are the same shape as the infertile fronds, hold the spore along the edges of the underside of the pinnae.
Extensive colonies can develop in some places, covering a large area of ground.
