Pyrrosia rupestris
Polypodiaceae

Very common

Rock Felt Fern is unmistakable; this is a small climbing fern, growing on the trunks of trees and over boulders, even in quite dry sites. It is particularly common on old Blackwood trees all across the Robertson area.

The small, round to elongated fronds and climbing habit are distinctive features of this fern. The fertile fronds are more elongated and produce the spore on the underside of the frond.
