Parapolystichum microsorum

Very common

This ground fern, previously known as Lastreopsis microsora, 2cm grows to about one metre tall, is quite common and may dominate the ground cover in some places.

This Shield Fern may be identified by its triangular, pinnate frond, which is rather soft to the touch, and its long creeping habit via rhizomes. Sori are circular and numerous on the underside of the fertile frond.
