Parapolystichum acuminatum

This ground fern, previously known as Lastreopsis acuminata, is common in rather moist places, often growing along streams. Fronds are triangular, narrower than the following species, and up to 60 cm long.

The shiny green fronds, clumping habit and thin stems differentiate this fern from the following related species. Sori are circular and numerous on the underside of the fertile frond.
