Diplazium australe
Woodsiaceae
Uncommon

Austral Lady-fern grows in very wet places, usually along creek banks or on swampy ground where it may be locally common. This fern can grow to over one metre in height and has a greenish, fleshy stem and rather weak frond; a short ‘trunk’ may form on old plants.

The light green fronds are large and triangular. The spores are held in linear sori on the underside
of the fertile frond.
